Arrived in New York in good time, having a great day with friends.

Where are we today ?
Overnight at Chris and Bill's, a great sleep and up early as usual. Generator not working again so plugged in for the night. Hmm, this generator is becoming frustrating. But were on the road shortly after 8 am heading to Caledonia New york. Only 172 miles.
277 kms (172 miles) today
Today is friday the 13th and a big day in Port Dover Ontario. Every Friday the 13th year round thousands of motorcycles head there for a fun get together. We passed many, many bikes heading that way. Never been there but have seen the crowds, not really our style, but it could be fun if we had a bike.
We made our way to  Queenston/Lewiston border crossing into New York by 10 am. A long line up but we made it across in about 15 minutes east/peasy.
First stop was Randy's gas bar, top up our coach, then Niagara Falls blvd to the discount liquor store and Target for a few groceries. Then onto I-90 west towards Rochester NY.  Just before the campground passed through LeRoy NY. A nice small town with a lots of nice old buildings and churches.
Le Roy Town hall
this be our campground for two nights
Now we arrived and got set about about 1 pm, next to Bill and Barb, parents of the groom for tomorrows wedding.  They were soon heading out to decorate the hall etc.. so Suzie got her doggie fix with a couple of hours of doggie day care Cocoa and Barnaby. Looks like we have free wifi so thats good can work on our blog and maybe even get a posting.
did mange to read for while too.
Barb and Bill returned and the dogs we  happier again. We got to chat and catch up with them for a while until they headed back out for the rehearsal party. We can take it easy here.
Another couple arrived John and Wendy in time to set up and headed out, they were involved with the rehearsal tonight too.
No Weber Q  just cooked up a couple Turkey burgers and fried onions, and added to a caesar salad I whipped up.
this sure hit the spot
The rehearsal party is doing their thing and sound like a whole bunch are coming back here after the dinner for a campfire, and do believe we will join them at least for a while. So I will stop my posting here as it may be way past my bedtime when we come in.
Tomorrow the wedding at 4 pm and reception so will have another busy fun day.
Glad we were able to post a bit and you could drop in to check us out.
        Good night!!!

  2. I wouldn't think you would need to have the generator when you have solar power. Our generator hasn't worked now for about three years and we really haven't had to worry about it because we have the solar or we are plugged in.

Have a fun time at the wedding and I hope the weather cooperates.

    1. WE only have one 130 watt panel and 2- 6 volt batteries works great when down south and sun is shining, But have had very cloudy skies, not charging enough in cloudy weather. And we do like to bookdock with no electrictity so does come in handy.

  3. You're back and forth across the border but at least you aren't going over your allotted time. Hope you have a great get together with family and friends.
