New picture on the back of our coach = awesome!

Where are we today ?
Got up early again as usual, (4:45) so I have time to compute, enjoy my coffees and catch the sunrise and a walkabout. Before we head out to get stuff done.
almost sunrise
another awesome sunrise over the mountains
looking west as the sun hit the mountains
We had an appointment this morning at Rush Graphics and Designs on Main St in Quartzsite this morning. To have our old fadded picture removed from the back of our coach and a new one printed and installed. This picture was from one of our favourite digital pictures we had taken of the view from our campsite at Rock Lake in Algonquin Provincial park in Ontario Canada, a few years ago.
these guys are good
look at this cool car they did
check out the old picture
removing the old one
all done about an hour later
new one being applied
WOW  we love it!
Very reasonable and they do great work too! So nice to deal with these guys.
they sure did an awesome job
Now back to "home dirt" and we can relax for the rest of the afternoon. Enjoy our books outside on a cloudy afternoon with 80 degree temperatures. Kinda lovin it ya know.
Most neighbors are gone and we are really all by
ourselves, now is that not just amazing?
could that be a puppy dog in the clouds?
almost a cool sunset
Fired up our Weber Q to grill some carrots and cauliflower on foil and heat up a couple smoked pork chops fresh from the Quartsite Market butcher's counter. They are sooo good!
a nice potato bun and Chinese noodles
we enjoyed a very tasty supper
Just wanna thank you for stopping on by and enjoying this fun time we having in the desert.

Cloudy, windy, but still pretty warm, almost nobody here now.

Where are we today ?
We have been dry camping in the desert for 28 days so far and have had awesome sunny weather, no rain and very little wind. Today its still very warm but now pretty windy. 21 mph (33kph) from the south. Not cold at all but in the desert that brings dust, big dust. Glad we are not travelling in it today. So think we have done pretty well so far this winter (except for the bad ice storm back on Dec 4th in Midland Texas where we were stranded in a Walmart parking lot for three nights).
Just need to keep our windows closed on the south side of our coach, to help keep some of the dust out.
A nice thing about waking up early is we get to enjoy some magnificent desert sunrises and most mornings it does not disappoint us.
After an early morning cruise came back to see that are almost all alone. Most every body has gone. No problem kinda nice and quiet here.
Nothing on the agenda today, just hanging out, and decided a quick trip to the Oasis Book Store to see if Paul has any deals and a couple of books, Suzie is trying to locate for her father. We did find 4 books at a good price but not the ones needed for her dad. The search will continue at other places. Oh,of course Paul was there in all his naked glory, hat, sandals and a knitted sack covering his privates.
can't miss Paul when you arrive
Suzie looks for deals
lots of books to choose from
Left here and the dust storm down main street was blowing pretty good.
Drove by the big tent and they are taking it down until next year.
vendors gone and tent coming down
afternoon clouds
We sat outside reading for a while 80 f but the south west wind made made it feel pretty cool, guess we have gotten spoiled with the Arizona sunshine.
So supper tonight was  some leftover turkey we had in our freezer, to make a hot turkey sandwich with gravy, whipped potatoes and cauliflower and corn. Sure hit the spot today. A bit windy to fire up our Weber Q tonight.
sure hit the spot for a change
Then we got to enjoy a nice sunset that we thought was not going to happen tonight.
Sure do love this dry camping here in the desert, great sunrises and sunsets. And with most everybody gone so quiet and peaceful here.
Wanna thank ya'll for dropping on by for a peak again. Keep warm wherever you are!

Windows redone under warranty, and enjoying the quiet desert that is now happening here in Quartzsite

Where are we today ?

We having too much fun here, just the two of us and nobody around. Run a few errands today and checked out Tyson Wells vendors for the last time this year. Over half the vendors are gone but we still got a nice walkabout looking at stuff and no crowds. Picked up a few ball bungees that we use, for a good deal, them back home for lunch.
food court is quiet
nice looking bench
After a bite for lunch read our books for a bit then a nice bike ride about the desert. Checking out all the nice remote sites and great scenery.
lotsa great places to set up camp
looks like a mine in the distance
atv trails everyhere
Old Yuma road goes for miles
more remote campsites
Late afternoon the Rv Glass guys showed up with our repaired dual pane windows. We had them done two years ago and they gave us an 18 month warranty. Two of our three windows began to fog a bit last winter but we were not here in Arizona. These two brothers ( Craig and Mike)  honoured their warranty and agreed to repair them again at no charge. Took them out on Monday and returned today to reinstall, looks like new and now we can see our mirrors again!
their set up on Kuehn St across from Rice Ranch
They are a very busy couple of guys and got them to do the work when they had time. We here for three weeks altogether. If you have foggy windows and are in Quartzsite we highly recommend them to get the job done.
they know their stuff and got the job done in no time
thanks guys, another job well done
We got a bit more reading done in the shade its very hot here about 90f.
lotsa room now most neighbors gone
For a nice tasty supper tonight we had a craving for chicken wings and homemade fries. So with the Weber Q and fry Daddy going cooked up a nice feast for us.
Added some celery, carrots, cauliflower, blue cheese dip and my hot sauces we had a very tasty supper.
sure hit the spot
then to wind up our day an nice Arizona sunset
Just another desert day here in Quartzsite at "Home Dirt" suits us just fine.
Thanks again for stopping by for a visit, if you are not here hope you are keeping warm, wherever you are.

All by ourselves, in sunny warm Arizona.

Where are we today ?
Just more great weather, probably the best winter yet here in Arizona. Lotsa sunshine, no wind , no rain and temps everyday in the 70's to 80's F cool desert nights just like normal. No frost and no humidity, yep we have a bit of dust but sure beats the alternative.
Our friends Rob, Pat, John, Barb and the puppies hit the road at 8:30 this morning and we did the hugs and see ya later guys somewhere down the road.
they are on the road again!
We are staying here for another week to get a few things done.
Tysoen Wells vendors moving out
After they gone we puttered around for a while, dust off our solar panel and a pic of all the space we have now. Everybody leaving and we will have it so quiet around here. Suits us just fine. Rv's are leaving by the groups heading every which way.
looking north to the tent
looking south
looking west
We are having another hot day, sunshade out and enjoying our books.
another perfect day
Took a bike ride over by the tent area and all is vacant, vendors gone to other events and shows. Does not take them long to pack up and go.
all gone. nice and quiet now
Even by K and B tools pretty quiet
But still lots for us to see and browse if we are in the mood, but today is a restful day for us. Enjoy our books in the shade, relax and chat for a while too.
We even had a "happy 1/2 hour" by ourselves then time to fire up our Weber Q to grill some taters, cauliflower and carrots in foil and a tasty pork steak for supper.
our Weber Q does an awesome job again
hit the spot, tasty and not too filling
not too bad of a sunset to tonight either
Was a wonderful sunny warm day just the two of us. Miss our friends? Yeah, but we can adjust and will see them again down the road.
Thanks for taking a peek at what we doing again and hope you are keeping warm wherever you are.
