More sunshine and another great day.

Where are we today ?
Quite warm overnight compared to what we have been having we liking this. About 59f (15c) at 6 am inside our house almost too warm for sleeping. Not that we are complaining, mind you.
So enjoying the sunrise and clear skies while computing with our morning coffees. Mom having and issue with her new windows Outlook email program I set up the other day. She has a sympatico (Bell Canada) email address (part of Hotmail) and this has now been changed to Outlook on the Web. No problems really just that it looks different and performs slightly different than she is used to. But when you are 85 years old you do not adapt to change quite as easily, she is doing great computing as it si. And the computer world now is changing almost on a daily basis. Can be frustrating at times for almost anybody.
Took a quick trip in there at 8 am straightened things out, enjoyed coffee and a nice visit with ma. Back home to to putter around for a while enjoying the sunshine thou a bit cooler than yesterday. The ground is drying up quickly and the water level in the creek is dropping rapidly.

such a great view from the front porch
Today we had a vist from nephew Ben (year old today) and niece Addison 3 months old. Nice to be able to see the young ones here when we can.
Then I got in a cooking mode. Boiled up a ham hock to make a broth for soup. And while this was going on fired up my pressure cooker to steam up a mess of pig tails and ribs for supper. The plan was to do the on the Weber but we had just to much food here, so just loaded then up in a huge roast pan and let then simmer away in the oven.
Still very good, tasty, sticky and fall off the bone tender.
Along with this I whipped up a large pot of creamy mashed potatoes, sauerkraut, and tossed salad with bean sprouts, (creamy blue cheese today). Also some creamed corn for everybody but me. I can eat almost everything but creamed corn just does not do it.
yummy
Thats it for today, warming up and having fun as the days just fly by.
Thanks for stopping in to visit us in Canada EH!

  5. My dad is 85 and I switched him to Gmail from some free thing he was using. He picked it up pretty fast but still has questions now and again.

Looks like you have your own little park.

    1. I have been thinking about switching Ma to gmail too. We have been using it with no issues for years.
Yep pretty nice here with a few hundred acres of nice property to roam.

  6. Your weather is looking great compared to ours. It's snowing out there again this morning. Looks more like January or February rather than the middle of April.

I think it's great that your mother is using the computer at 85. Most people at that age are scared just to even look at one.
