Met more Rv'ers from Ontario, great weather and awesome pizza made by John !

Where are we today ?
Just more great weather and loving it. Cold nights (great for sleeping) and warm sunny days.
Had a question about the cinnamon bacon we had for breakfast yesterday and yes thats what we had, very tasty and different.  We bought this at Swiss Sausage and meats in Herman MO a while back along with some great sausage.
First thing this morning, 8 am (after coffees and walkabouts) I headed into town to pick up a few supplies then back home.
We had our package arrive at the resort. A new camera I had ordered on line last thursday. To replace my Panasonic Lumix TS20. Only 18 months old and love the camera, but the display was not working much anymore, really hard to take pics and change settings on my camera., Paid $179.00 for it in Aug. 2012, love the camera. Perfect point and shoot with all the features that work amazing. Found this new one on E Bay at a camera store in LA only $89.00 (brand new, demo model) and free shipping. Arrived this morning gotta love the great service and price too. Now I have a spare camera, extra battery and hope it lasts as long as the last one. It has taken over 14,000 pics so does not owe us much.
display on old camera
So another walkabout taking more test pictures and seems to work just wonderful, exactly what I want.
Now we can enjoy some nice sunny afternoon weather reading our books, works for us.
But then we are invited to join in "Happy hour" to see what everybody has been doing today.
While chatting John had agreed to make a couple homemade pizzas for us. So he set to work making the dough and preparing the toppings.
John hard at work
While he was doing this two more couples from Ontario joined our Happy hour. One couple from Creemore Ontario and the other couple manage Sangri-La family Campground in St Catherines Ontario.
Such a small world, all these people from Ontario Canada all the way here in southern California, 3,000 miles away from home. We chatted and chatted getting to know each other and promising to meet again soon ( maybe tomorrow).
Then is getting cool and John yells out "Pizza is done"
Inside we head to have a nice feast of John's excellent homemade pizza.
so yummy
good friends, good food and awesome weather
Thanks John love your pizza
Christmas cake for desert hit the spot
Thats it, enough fun for one day, lets call it a night.
Thanks for dropping on by, sorry, no pizza leftovers today, was way too good.

Not much other than great weather and good food, what else is new?

Did we have a good day our what? Just more sunshine and blue skies works for us. That's what Arizona/California does for us.We are right on the edge of Arizona/ California and Mexico about 250 ft above sea level and perfect weather here.
Early this morning after coffees, computing and my walkabouts about 8:30 am headed intoYuma to pick up a few food items and back home for lunch.
Pretty hot here in the sun.
Eventually  time for the obligatory "Happy Hour" with Rob. Pat, John and Barb. We found a nice shady spot between our rigs.
we be happy for an hour
Nice here in the shade for a bit then over to our site in the sun, keeping warm.
still warm here in the sun
The sun goes down and it gets COLD!
Lady girl with her attitude
While shopping I picked up a deal on some pork ribs for supper. Regular $25.97 , last day sale only $6.47 now how can  turn that down? We having a feast of ribs tonight.
I simmer them with sauerkraut on the Weber Q for at least an hour, add some taters on foil with onions and spices. Then put the ribs on the grill for a short while, glazed with some sticky BBQ sauce.
Add some cauliflower w/cheese and sure hit the spot

Arizona marketplace and visiting fellow Rv friends.

Where are we today ?
Sunshine again and more great weather. Today we have a plan to head out to Arizona Marketplace a huge fleamarket that we love to go to when in the area. Today is a perfect day to browse, not too busy and not many crowds.
Left here about 9:30 this morning so as not to rush at the market. Wander about for a few hours here. Lots of neat things to check out and real great prices if you take the time to check. And we did. Not much we needed but did find a few cheap things to buy. A tiny window thermometer we have been looking for and a new pair of Dawg sandals that Suzie likes for a good price.
In the food court a nice country band playing
nice fresh produce at very good prices too
Now its noon and time for something different for a bite to eat.
tasty chilly/cheese fries to share
one fish taco each hit the spot,
nice light lunch
Then down the road to visit with our friends, Mike and Wendy from Alberta Canada. Have not seen them for two years. We first met them in Rock Port Texas in 2006 and almost every year since then in our travels. So nice to catch up with them such a super couple. They had invited us over for Happy Hour a couple hours before their friends and relatives showed up, just so we could catchup!
Mike and Wendy
They got themselves a wonderful new 40 ft 5th wheel trailer this year, and mainly stay in Yuma Arizona for the winter and Alberta Canada in the summer months. They have a really nice site, all set up and comfortable for them. Not our style, but suits them perfectly.
nice site, nice patio
Nice doggy fix for Suzie
Lotsa friends for Happy Hour
very tasty snacks too
Thanks, Mike and Wendy for the great get together, tasty snacks and meeting some of your family and friends. we had an awesome visit.
Not wanting to wear our our welcome headed back home before it got too late.
Just relax for a bit in the sunshine and read while our Weber Q heated up to grill a couple chicken breasts. I tenderized and marinated, grilled for a few short minutes and enjoyed a grilled chicken breast sandwich and tossed salad for a light supper.
quick and easy
sure hit the spot
That was another fun day, exploring and visiting here in southern Arizona, Our day was awesome hope yours was too.
Thanks for stopping by and making a comment, or just reading our about our fun day.
