Rainy, cold and another pot of soup.

Where are we today ?
New Hamburg Ontario
Yep its getting cold, just above freezing today and raining most of the morning, so its just wet instead of icy or white, and thats a good thing. So after our pot of coffee and computing I headed off  shortly after 8 o'clock to visit Ma' in Waterloo.  Have a coffee, measure her basement window wells for new plastic covers, and tune up her computer again. I let her make the adjustments a few times and had her write down detailed instructions on how to fix this recurring issue.
After my visit I headed back to New Hamburg and have my hearing aides tuned up to get me thru the winter. A nice country drive and a bit of sunshine showing off a few more nice fall colors.
soon the leaves will be gone
I stopped by the grocery store and picked up a few veggies and stuff and back to the farm I set to work making up a huge pot of ham and potato soup with the leftover ham bone that Sandy had, from her families Thanksgiving breakfast. Turned out pretty tasty and nice for this time of year, with the cool damp weather.
yummy comfort food
While I am playing with the food in the kitchen, Suzie and Omer are having fun and keeping me company. Sandy she is helping Dennis in the field a bit. No problem, supper will be ready whenever you are.
While I was prepping the soup I threw a mess of pork back ribs in the oven, over a bed of sauerkraut, to just slowly roast away and get fall off the bone tender. Slathered them with some BBQ sauce that was sweet, tasty and very sticky, just the way we love our ribs.
Boiled up some small potatoes, mixed veggies and made a tossed salad, yep we had a "Ribfest tonight". Dennis was looking for pigtails as well, but not tonight we have lotsa ribs for leftovers too. No pigtails for you either Rick, I know I won't hurt your feelings.
I nice feast of ribs

Well that's where our day went, hope you had a good one too. We are working our way thru the list of things to get done with only a week left to go, before our migration.
Thanks for taking the time to read, if you are in the area stop by for a bowl of soup.
