Wed. Dec.21st, Just a laid back day

Join us as we travel North America in our Holiday Rambler Vacationer,
 since August 2006

 Where are we Today ?

A good nights sleep up early as usual to watch the sunrise chasing the moon onto a beautiful cloudless blue sky.
A morning walkabout chatting with a few people then set up some Christmas decorations, so Santa can find us, while listening to seasonal music on the radio, such a wonderful day!
We ready
Now a quick trip to Abertson's in Blythe California for a few groceries, across the river, in a different time zone, thru the agricultural inspection station less than 10 minutes away.
Inspection station
On the way backed I stopped at the office and got our tickets for Christmas Dinner, sunday at 3 pm. Turkey/Ham and all the trimmings only $10.00 each sounds like a good deal.
I checked out the pool its warm and inviting
Overlooking the resort from the pool
Now back home and puttering around so that we can relax in the shade and enjoy our books for a while.
a nice afternoon
Before we know its time to fire up our Weber and throw on some sweet potatoes in foil with apples, brown sugar, cinnamon and butter (soo good!), fresh mushrooms w/ onions, broccoli and a delicious steak for a satisfying supper on this last day of fall, the shortest day of the year.
tasty
To keep in tune with the season I picked up some tasty mini pumpkin tarts for desert.
Another day slipped by and now we are snuggled in front of our fireplace (yule log on tv) Christmas tree lit up and a few decorations, starting to feel a lot like Christmas.

  1. Looks a lot like Christmas too! Love the Santa hats on the mirrors. We always like to be by the water when there.

Hey its Christmas and we only decorated a bit this year. I love to cook for the two of us more than going to restaurants. Having my own restaurant for 10 years we are usually much more satisfied for a lot less money. Part of our lifestyle!
