June 15th, Thats good news!

Join us as we travel North America in our
Holiday Rambler Vacationer, since August 2006

We are up early as usual, its a sunny warm morning and after our coffees we are packed up and on the road to Stratford at 7:30 am. We parked our coach in the Canadian Tire Parking lot and I went to the Stratford General Hospital to have the stitches removed on my back from two weeks ago. This is where "good news" part comes in. The mole that was removed is not cancer, I like good news!
After this I went back to get Suzie and we had company. While parked there a friendly resident stopped to see if there was a problem with our coach. It turns out that they are new to rving, two years ago and stopped to see if we needed help. While chatting with Suzie it was found out that they are related! She found his family in her genealogy program, small world. Its kinda neat meeting relatives that you have never met. After a bit we fueled our coach, hooked up the car and headed to Rock Glen Resort in Arkona.

We arrived just in time to make lunch, chat with a few friends, and a bunch or Union Gas retirees camped around us on their annual campout. The one neighbour beside us commented about his coach, saying it doesn't look that great anymore, its a 1982, but then he said he's not about buy a new one at 82 years old!
doesn't look that bad

Now for the first time in a couple of weeks, we opened the awning, got our lawn chairs out and enjoyed reading in the shade for a while.
nice site

Then time to fire up the barbie to grill some pork chops for supper with a rice pilaf and
some tender sweet Ontario asparagus.
tasty supper

After this we went over to help Suzanne open her awning, then a nice visit with Phil and Judy. Chat for a  while catching up and watching the hummingbirds and orioles in the trees.

Then back home to read a bit more and some tv before calling it a night.

       Thanks for stopping by.

  1. I was wondering why you had to stop at the hospital. If you were here I could have taken out the stitches for you. Amazing story about Suzie and the visitors. First of all for someone to stop and offer help, wonderful and then to discover you are related to them, a great story for the next campfire.

Thats the thing with rver's and small towns, always willing to lend a hand.
It was 4 stitches, I can usually remove my own, but kinda hard to do on my back, plus I wanted to see the surgeon for the results, it was right on way anyway. Could have been an excuse to visit you guys.
