Sun. Mar. 13th, 2011 Willis Texas

Join us as we travel North America in our Holiday Rambler Vacationer,
 since August 2006

Sunday morning and daylight savings time, its almost 7:30am and still dark outside but nice and warm. So once the sun comes up can do a walkabout the resort children playing, riding their bikes, fishing by the beach and people cooking breakfast outside. It almost feels like summer about 75f (22c) green grass, but there is no leaves on the tress yet. According to one of the staff this is the perfect weather soon they don't want to be outside, apparently it's too hot in the summer, everybody wants to stay in the airconditioning.
nice view of the lake
the beach
Lots of squirrels running around gathering nuts, climbing trees and stopping for a nibble. Someone had put small platforms on a few trees and the squirrels really make use of them stopping for a rest here and there like the fellow below.
hurry take the picture !
We just puttered around, checking out our travel route, places to stay, and some research on the internet then we can sit out in the sun and shade to enjoy our books a bit more. Now with the time change the sun is high in the sky much later and I actually have to stop and get ready to cook supper before it starts to cool down.  Most of the winter we have been going inside around 4:00pm then 5:00pm now its still nice and bright till after 6:00pm, spring is definitely on the way. Not that we are complaining about our winter I was able to wear shorts and t-shirts almost every day.
yummy
For supper tonight I wrapped some large shrimp with bacon and grilled on the barbie, and served it up with a rice pilaf and a nice tossed salad. Then we can sit and chat for a while, read a bit more and a tv show to round off the day.
